What to Do… Is There Hope? There is absolutely HOPE!!! Schools and Staff can provide several things that are needed for recovery from trauma: ▪ Give kids opportunity to feel safe and secure physically and emotionally ▪ Build relationships and secure attachments with kids Successful interventions for kids are based on providing a structured environment with firm boundaries and nurturing empathic relationships. “ Close and supportive relationships with teachers have demonstrated the potential to mitigate the risk of negative outcomes for children who may otherwise have difficulty succeeding in school.”
Getting Students Connected Relationships are KEY
