Essential Questions that will Drive the Process….. HALDANE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT STRATEGIC PLANNING ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS: How can the District ensure continuing excellence in academic and extracurricular programs while developing a budget that is fiscally responsible? How can the District ensure that all students think deeply, support their thinking, apply problem ‐ solving skills, and actively participate in their learning as they acquire content knowledge? What 21 st Century Skills are necessary to create metacognitive graduates who have a curious and entrepreneurial spirit? What supports are necessary to create an environment where the civic and social conditions for learning are infused in all we do? How should we use present structures to our students’ advantage? i.e., Mandates (# of required Regents); School Day/School Year; Start and End times of the school day, facilities, etc. ?
