  2. Critical challenges affecting the sector performance • Low sector uptake of ENR mainstreaming in high impact • Limited capacity for mainstreaming at central and local government levels • Limited financial resources • Lack of monitoring, reporting and evaluation framework for mainstreaming

  3. Issues Causes Practical solutions Low sector uptake Sector mandates Create a budget of ENR prohibiting line for mainstreaming in mainstreaming in mainstreaming and high impact sectors the sectors strengthen coordination • • Inadequate Undertake Limited capacity knowledge and capacity for mainstreaming skills for building on mainstreaming mainstreaming at central and local • • Limited Budget for government levels financing for mainstreaming mainstreaming in the respective sectors

  4. Proposed undertakings No new undertaking is proposed for the ENR sector due to the long process required but instead continue with completion of the current undertaking. However, the following are recommended 1. Finalize the mainstreaming guidelines and support preparation of sector specific mainstreaming guidelines for the 4 remaining high impact sectors 2. Put in place a strategy and action plan for accelerated implementation of the mainstreaming guidelines including capacity building, resource mobilizing and a framework for report
