What t is is th the CWC? • The CWC is an interlocal governmental entity and political subdivision of the State of Utah. • Its mission is to implement Mountain Accord while engaging the public and building consensus around action in the Central Wasatch Mountains. It exists to serve as a coordinating body for the many interests in the Central Wasatch.

CWNCRA Desig ignation The Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area (CWNCRA) is a proposed Federal designation that protects 80,000 acres of U.S. Forest Service land in the Central Wasatch mountains. Hallmarks of the designation include: • the authorization for land exchanges between the four Cottonwood Canyon ski resorts and the Forest Service. • Future development limitations for Cottonwood ski resorts. • Additional wilderness designations and watershed protections.
