Seattle is home to many global health C O N Q U E R I N G organizations GLOBAL HEALTH O N T H E LOCAL LEVEL King County has some of the worst health disparities in the United States Cities of SeaTac and Tukwila partnering as pilot sites 3
WHY THESE CITIES? Compared to King County, SeaTac and Tukwila have: 20% higher rates of death Almost 3x higher teen birth rate Twice the number of adults Twice the number of students without health insurance on free/reduced lunch 1.5x the rate of diabetes-related deaths 1/3 of the population is foreign born Limited access to healthy foods, transportation, and low-cost recreation options 4

IN 2013, G2L: Provided support for more than 4,000 people Provided over 1300 hours of mentoring for nearly 30 community leaders Enrolled over 2000 individuals in Health Insurance 10
