Age Groups/Leagues/Progression o Players develop at different rates. Development is a journey – LS provides ALL o players opportunity to compete at appropriate level in pyramid. o Trust the process, and enjoy the journey!! o Continued support of and participation in CCL provides non-ECNL players competitive matches in top league in DC Metro area, and exposure within CCL events. o Players can dual roster with ECNL/CCL teams o U9-U12 girls to continue to play in CCL, CCL2, NCSL, and ODSL. o Boys teams will continue to participate in the Development Academy (DA), USYS National and Regional Leagues, CCL 1, CCL 2, NCSL, and ODSL. ECNL Team Training Calendar 10 month commitment – similar to Travel. Season can extend for o post-season play. o Summer (informal) training sessions leading to August pre- season and tentative ECNL cross-over friendly o 3x week training during competitive seasons Training at LSP, Bolen, Evergreen, area HS’s o • U13-U14: Fall and Spring, no Wednesday TA • U15-U18/19: Fall and parts of Winter (around event schedule) o Reduced commitment for U15-U18/19 in Spring to minimize High School conflicts o Training sessions may include futsal, sports performance, classroom meetings, and video analysis – in place of or in addition to outdoor training sessions o Breaks scheduled throughout year to permit rest and recovery. Competition Calendar o U13 (06s) and U14 (05s) • Traditional League schedule fall (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) • One ECNL National Event per year • U13s – No Post Season (season concludes in May) • U14s – top teams in each conference qualify for ECNL National Playoff (June) to declare National Champion. • Anticipated non-ECNL events: WAGS, Bethesda, Jefferson Cup, FC Delco Players Cup o U15 (04s) • Traditional League Schedule fall (Sept-Nov) and parts of winter (Dec-Feb) • Two ECNL National Events per year • Top teams in each conference qualify for National Playoffs in June. ECNL Conference o Loudoun Soccer will join the Mid Atlantic Conference o Virginia (McLean, BRYC, VDA, Richmond United), North Carolina, and South Carolina o Once new ECNL clubs are announced, the conference alignment will follow o Anticipate Saturday-Sunday games for out-of-town match-ups (e.g. two games in South Carolina over one weekend) o Club researching travel options (charter bus) for NC and SC trips Cumulative mileage to be comparable to current top-tier teams – o possibly even less.
