General Weatherspoon & Williams Airport Signage Pictured: Pittsburgh International Airport
The Williams Companies were involved in the original building of the Pittsburgh International Airport. We still service the signage needs of this facility 25 years later. This is an example of WWLLC’s commitment to service and providing the needs to all our current and past clients. Pictured above is the original job sign, manufactured for Pittsburgh International Airport, Midfield Terminal. Jean A. Williams, the original owner, is pictured in teal; she would be proud of what we have achieved today.
Weatherspoon and Williams worked on the upgrade of the structure signage which helped to direct travelers in and out of the airport. This is a current project, many additional upgrades to follow! Directional signage is very important in the people moving flow in any building signage. Easy access to airports, railways, bus stations is enhanced due to directional signage, similar to signs pictured above.
The Williams Companies fabricated and installed over 90% of the wayfinding signage at the Pittsburgh International Airport. We continue to maintain the wayfinding signs and roadway signs at this location. When you’re at the airport, please evaluate the ease of access and comment on our Facebook, so that we may continue to upgrade traveling public. Weatherspoon and Williams is a provider for DOT signage used at airports, stadiums, busways, and all transportation regulatory access roads. Do not hesitate to contact us for any traffic regulatory signs!!
Pictured is an example of a Tri-cord Span Sign Structure. This type of overhead sign structure is still used in many DOTs. This type of sign structure has many advantages per WWLLC’s ability to redesign this structure. It becomes a very cost-effective way for your state to implement sign structures.
