Who Are We? Fort Lauderdale Community Center is a non ‐ profit agency providing the underserved of the Ft Lauderdale area with a wholistic approach towards creating healthy and economically stable families and individuals, by providing such services as employability skills, education, life skills and referrals to resources.

I AM BROWARD… In 2009 we started a campaign to identify nonprofits and businesses that help children and families at ‐ risk in our communities, and provide them with a computer lab and/or laptops. Our way of helping to bridge the gap in technology.
In 2009 Partnered with FAMILY CENTRAL Dr. Barbara Weinstein • Provided 19 New Monitors for their training department

Results of 2016 and Partnership with Turnstone Development for Affordable Housing • Jobs in construction were secured for residents of the BMSD • FLCC currently has a database to directly contact over 1000 people, over 80% of which live in the BMSD [we will send mass text messages and mass emails] • FLCC produces a community newsletter that is hand delivered to the homes and into the hands of 1600 BMSD households bi ‐ monthly [we will use ad space in the newsletter]

Programs and Services Inspire2Hire – I2H • Based on the results of individual assessments participants may receive from our organization and our partners a combination of specialized workshops, seminars, job readiness classes, life skills, a path to GED/special diploma attainment, vocational and job skills, certifications, financial literacy and budgeting, internships, and job placement

Accomplishments… Since January 28 people of 2016 found jobs we’ve seen through our 2,117 people collaborations for services with employers Registered 28 people Department of Labor signed up Apprenticeship for GED Certification Provider since 2002 classes
