1 THE FOUNDATION In 2018, Five- O’s Tiki Foundation, Inc. was established. The foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. It is managed by a Board of Directors (the Board) led by law enforcement and community members. The Board, all whom serve are volunteers, is governed by articles set forth in August 2018. The Board is responsible for all aspects of the foundation, to include making the determination for the distribution of funds, goods or services.
2 Mission Statement The Five- O’s Tiki Foundation, Inc. provides a resource for funding community and law enforcement programs which benefit citizens and support positive relations between communities and law enforcement. The Foundation raises money through tax deductible contributions in conjunction with community and private fundraising events. Donations, goods or services to the Foundation provide individuals a chance to partner with dedicated men and women who lead the fight to protect and serve. The Foundation makes disbursements to benefit underprivileged children through programs such as police athletic leagues (PAL), law enforcement explorer programs, youth citizen police academies and the Shop with a Cop initiative. Support and assistance of law enforcement members in time of need with direct benevolent and financial assistance for serious illness or injury. 3 EVENTS In 2018, Five- O’s Tiki Found ation, Inc. participated in numerous events throughout Virginia and North Carolina. Operating under a FUN draising philosophy, public events during 2018 included the Henrico FOP Blue Line Cornhole Tournament, The Harborblast Concert Series, NASCAR ’s Monster Energy All Star Race (Charlotte, NC), The National MEGA Race Championships at Capital City Speedway (Ashland, VA) and private events such as the MMA Connor McGregor watch party, Bell Creek’s Rock the Block II, and The 8 th Annual Party on the Pond.
4 EVENTS In addition to our 2018 FUN draising events, the Five- O’s Tiki Foundation partnered with the local business community to host fundraisers at restaurant establishments such as Third Base Grill (New Kent, VA), Sportspage (Mechanicsville, VA), and Buffalo Wild Wings (Mechanicsville, VA). With Foundation followers and community support we successfully hosted these events during October, November, and December 2018. MERCHANDISE
5 THE TIKI EXPERIENCE Originally created ten years ago, the Tiki Experience is the centerpiece of our onsite FUN draising events. Through trial and error, our current structure consists of a fully functional portable Tiki Bar offering DIRECTV and displaying multiple channels on 5 HD televisions with surround sound capabilities. In addition, multiple sound options are available, a quality sound experience is guaranteed for the smallest to largest event. Whether hosting a day or evening event, the Tiki Experience will light up your night. Custom LED lighting offering multiple colors, movements, and dimmer options that your guests are sure to enjoy no matter the event. Focusing on the needs of guest attending our FUN draising and the individuals hosting private events, the TIKI Experience also offers phone charging stations,comfortable seating, experienced mixologist, chilled spirit and draft capabilities, concessions options, and the Five- O’s Tiki Foundation Cornhole boards.
6 DONATIONS Although still in its infancy, the Five- O’s Tiki Foundation, Inc. was proud to keep within the Foundation’s Mission Statement and make monetary donations to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Foundation and the Henrico Lodge Charitable Foundation. With these funds, assistance will be available to officer’s in time of need. Support also was provided to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 606 and the Henrico Police Department Explorer Post 608. With these funds the youth of our community will be afforded opportunities to receive the highest levels of training while utilizing some of the best equipment during their training. In addition to monetary donations in 2018, the Foundation was able to make donations to Mechanicsville Churches Emergency Functions. Most of the families helped are referred through local churches or the Hanover Department of Social Services While the Foundation is extremely proud of this year’s c ontributions we look to continue this momentum in 2019 and beyond.
