Burn Permits: Clear Creek County requires an application from Evergreen Fire Rescue(EFR) and a state application. Both may be obtained at EFR. A copy will be provided to you and faxed to the State Environmental Health office. Once the state approves and returns the permit to EFR we fax it to Clear Creek Land Use Division. They will notify the neighbors to the property about the slash burn permit. All regulations and terms as shown on the EFR permit are to be followed.

A copy will be provided for your reference and you will mail or take the original signed forms to Jeffco Public Health Dept. (303-271-5700) and pay the $80.00 fee. They will conduct a site visit. Once the permit is returned to EFR and the homeowner the burn may be conducted according to the regulations and terms on the EFR application form.
Residential Properties: Is your address posted so it is visible from the street? If not, post it at the beginning of your driveway at least 3-4 feet off the ground. If you have a gate, contact us at 303-674- 2323 and give us the gate code or contact Fire Marshal Dearborn at 303-679-4746 for an application for a knox key switch to be put on your gate at your expense.
Residential Properties Is your driveway wide enough for our emergency vehicles? Driveways are required to be at least 10 feet wide with 2- two foot shoulders and trees cleared over the driveway to a height of at least 14 feet. Do you have a bridge that we have to cross over to get to your property? What is the weight capacity of the bridge? Our trucks weigh up to 75,000 pounds.

Jefferson County: Has a list of 9 foresters for a Defensible Space Inspection when you build a new home or add more than 400 square feet to your existing home.
