EVV Phase 1 Timeline • Starting July 08, 2018, the grace period for Phase 1 providers is no longer in effect. All data is subject to audit. This means visit data as well as data integrity. • August 15, 2018, units conversion will be live in EVV and EVV related edits will begin being posted for ALL affected providers on their EOB’s. • November 2018, ODM will begin denying Phase 1 claims if a verified visit does not exist. 5
EVV Phase 2 Timeline • Jan/Feb 2019, the Sandata System will be live for Phase 2 providers to begin using once they’ve completed training. • Jan/Feb 2019, training will begin for providers. • May 06, 2019, EVV Rule will be in effect mandating use of EVV for Phase 2 providers. • Summer/Fall 2019, Phase 2 claims will begin to deny if a verified visit does not exist. • May 2020 – Phase 3 Go Live 6

New Password Requirements • In January 2018, the State of Ohio moved to new password requirements. • Soon these password requirements will start appearing for providers who log into the EVV System. – Mobile Devices are not impacted. • The new password length will be 12 characters and users will need to update their passwords to the new format when their current password expires, or if they need their password reset. • New password format is: – A combination of at least 12 alpha-numeric (upper and lower case, and numbers), and special characters (ex., $, &, %, #); and – Creatively combined and seemingly unrelated words to create a complex password that can withstand attack. 19

Updated EVV Webpage • ODM has worked with our Communications Bureau to create a more user friendly EVV Webpage. • There are now distinct tabs for providers, individuals, and resources. • Please check out our new layout at Medicaid.ohio.gov/EVV. 21
