Two-stage consultation 2004-2005 Two stage consultation 2004 2005 I In preparation for the future Community action programme to promote active i f h f C i i i European citizenship for the period 2007 - 2013, DG for Education and Culture organised an extensive two-stage consultation exercise between December 2004 and February 2005. y The first step in this exercise, which took place from 15 December 2004 to 15 February 2005, was an on-line consultation. Open to all interested organisations and i di id individuals; in total, more than 1,000 replies were received, including around 700 l i t t l th 1 000 li i d i l di d 700 from organisations and 300 from individuals. The second step consisted in a Consultation Forum, held on 3 and 4 February 2005 in Brussels. The Forum attracted over 350 participants from across Europe, representing p p p , p g NGOs, think tanks, regional and municipal representatives, European networks, advocacy groups, trade unions and European associations. The results of the discussion have been analysed by the Commission - together with Th lt f th di i h b l d b th C i i t th ith the results of the on-line consultation - as part of the preparation of its proposal for the new programme.
