Based on the results, the Commission will make any appropriate legislative proposals for Euro 5. Assess the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of possible post Euro 5 elements : in-service conformity testing requirements off-cycle emission requirements Expand PM limit scope and introduction of a PN emission limit for certain (sub-)categories of L-category vehicles. Based on the results, the Commission will consider introducing these new elements into future type-approval legislation (beyond Euro 5).

Specific Contract No. SI2.713570 “Euro 5 Effect study for L - category vehicles” TASK ASK 1.5: 1.5: TYP TYPE E V V – SHOR SHORT T UPD UPDATE TE ON ON DUR DURAB ABILITY ILITY TE TEST STS 2 SRC-LeCV and 2 AMA cycles are performed with each test vehicle within task 1.5 to assess the exhaust gas temperature differences in the different cycles in order to assess the effects on catalyst ageing In addition limited SRC-LeCV and AMA distance accumulation for 2 specific (preferably Euro 4) identical motorcycles will be performed. (approximately 5000 – 6000 km driving)
