Funders and Partners Established in 2009, the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre provides funding, technical assistance, and education to support Alberta municipalities, non-profits, and schools in addressing climate change. The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre is a partnership between the Government of Alberta, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, and Rural Municipalities of Alberta.

Eligible Initiatives & Retrofits Municipally-owned recreation facilities can receive funding for: ü Scoping audits and engineering studies ü Interior and exterior lighting ü Building automation systems and controls ü Building envelope upgrades and HVAC systems ü Pumps, motors, and variable frequency drives ü Combined heat and power systems ü And others on a case-by-case basis

  19. Funding Structure MEM TERM REBATE 80% of MEM base salary to a YEAR 1 maximum of $80,000 per year YEAR 2 (optional and contingent on 80% of MEM base salary to a maximum of $80,000 per year meeting minimum Year 1 requirements) 2 Year Funding Cap: $160,000 per municipality
