El Salvador • Land area and population similar to Massachusetts • History of civil unrest, a large and disenfranchised poor population, and limited economic opportunities • Agrarian economy, primary export crops are coffee and sugar cane • Today, the most violent country in Central and South America
Mission Trip Goals •Understand the issues facing El Salvador and the Anglican Church in El Salvador •Work with a local community on a development project •Develop mission leaders for future Diocesan trips
