Right to withdraw • SRE has two aspects: • Science (about labelling body parts and reproduction) • Personal Social Health & Emotional PSHE (about how to form positive loving relationships, learn about hygiene, learn how to solve problems with relationships, different types of family) • Parents have a right to withdraw from SRE lessons from the PSHE aspects but cannot withdraw children from the science content (e.g. when the content is about reproduction) • Please speak with class teacher if you would like to withdraw your child from the PSHE aspects.
