What is DUO? DUO is a second layer of protection that verifies you’re really you. Even if attackers know your ID or password, DUO, which is a second factor of authentication, stops them.

Benefits of DUO - Easy to distribute (no pick-up except for hardware tokens) - Self-service options for users - Easy to use - Multiple authentication methods supported - Works on multiple devices

DUO Phase I History/Accomplishments Initial project phase (faculty and staff) - Some important milestones 04/2018 - Proof of Concept 06/2018 - Pilot-1 09/2018 - Pilot-2 12/2018 - Pilot-3 03/2019 - Initial CI Financials Group 08/2019 - Initial VPN User’s Group Status - 180 staff and faculty members have DUO. Plan - Complete phase I by 12/21/2019.
DUO Phase II proposal DUO phase II is to extended DUO security for Students at CI.
