How are applications assessed? The ‘4 P’ evaluation Person Project Preparedness Place To be eligible for an AHRC award you must have also submitted an application to study at the University.
Grading scheme Assessors’ Grade Definition 1 Exceptional Application, top priority for an award 6 2 Excellent application, very high priority for an award 5 3 Excellent application, high priority for an award 4 4 Good application, priority for an award 3 5 Satisfactory application, but not a priority 2 6 Poor application, not recommended for an award 1 Ineligible 0 Normally, only applications rated 6 (or, rarely, ‘5’) receive awards.
