Unichem Karori Pharmacy has 5 trained vaccinators who are able to administer: Flu, Pertussis, Meningococcal, Shingles Vaccines – user pays In 2016 we administered 115 vaccines – nearly double 2015- No Appointment required- We provided FLUQUADRI Vaccine We actively refer those in our community who are eligible for a funded Flu vaccine to their GP

Pharmacists have welcomed the opportunity to vaccinate their communities We administered FLUQUADRI this year Pharmacists complete the same training as all vaccinators We have invested in electronic consent and with the person’s consent we advise their GP they have had the vaccine which in most cases they have agreed to. Feedback from our consumers is extremely positive It is all about increasing the numbers of those getting vaccinated
Vaccination Consumer Survey Rated 4-5 In 2012 after the first flu season that Pharmacists were vaccinating a survey was 98% completed by with consumers who had their flu vaccine in a pharmacy. Overall Satisfaction Of those surveyed 42% Had not had a flu vaccination the year before
