  3. Digital Learning Digital learning is any type of learning that makes effective use of technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience. It provides access to challenging content and opportunities for learning anytime, anywhere. Digital learning can allow for more creativity, problem solving and critical thinking.

  4. Devices used in school in EYFS and KS1 • Each class from FS1 to Year 2 has access to a group set of iPads that are used appropriately to support learning in creative ways.

  5. Digital Learning and the Curriculum At Oryx School we include technology in our lessons by using a teaching method called ‘Blended Learning ’. Children, in some lessons, take part in activities where they will be taught a method by their teacher, complete an online activity based on their lesson objective and a paper based activity.

Home learning assignments are set by class teachers and are as important to complete as paper assignments. Home learning is not given to students in FS1. Access to technology in class is closely monitored to ensure children receive a variety of activities to develop their motor skills, social skills and speaking and listening skills.
