DETS BAGASSE DRYER Bagasse is the fibrous residue left over after milling of the cane, with 45- 50% moisture content and consisting of a mixture of hard fibre, with soft and smooth parenchymatous (pith) tissue with high hygroscopic property. Bagasse contains mainly cellulose, hemi cellulose, pentosans, lignin, sugars, wax, and minerals. Lowering the moisture level in Bagasse improves the efficiency of the boiler considerably; this step is a simple and a must, energy conservation measure In this dried Bagasse, moisture content is reduced by 8-10 units, creating a potential for saving of 6-8% of Bagasse which is used as fuel to boiler. This leads to stable and efficient boiler operations.
OUR TECHNOLOGY PARTNER After 20 years of extensive research and study Dr. Abilio Arrascaeta, our technology partner developed a bagasse drying system. Dr. Abiliio Arrascaeta named the bagasse dryer as “ boiler energy recovery equipment ” as this technology uses the energy left in the boiler flue gasses to dry bagasse just like economizers and air heaters Our dryer not only reduces the moisture content but also works like an “ ash arrestor ” as it cleans the flue gasses, thus reducing pollution. This technology reduces moisture and flue gases temperature from 140-200 deg. C to 75 deg. C which results in bagasse saving. The saving is directly proportional to the temperature of the flue gases.
OUR CAPABILITIES Dhampur Group has been running successful business and generating profits for 83 years. 83 years comes with a lot of experience, we’ve complete knowledge of the industry which makes us reliable and an industry leader We’ve manufactured and installed many Bagasse dryers globally over the period of 20 years. Eight dryers have been working in Dhampur Group tremendously well over the last 5 years. Our state of the art facility, with detailed engineering and strict quality control measures comply with international standards. We ensure on time commissioning & performance delivery of each projects.
Higher boiler efficiency results into reduction in consumption of bagasse. Improves boiler operations such as steam pressure stability, energy savings, pollution reduction etc. Combustion of wet bagasse helps in increasing the boiler life and reduces maintenance cost. This invariably reduces air pollution and carbon footprint. Surplus dried bagasse can be sold or used to produce electricity. Cogeneration of Bagasse leads to attractive and successful energy projects. ROI of around 40%-60%, year after year, depending on season and off season operational days, flue gas temperature, installation intricacy, selling price of power or bagasse etc. The dryers work perfectly, even in rainy season Less storage area is required to store bagasse as compared to the conventional methods of using and storing bagasse without drying.
