Reporting to Work All employees reporting to work will be screened for respiratory symptoms and have their body temperature taken as a precautionary measure to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Screening stations will open 7:50 am. Staff will not be authorized to enter the building any earlier. Please remain in your vehicle until your scheduled screening time. Staff scheduled for work at 8am will begin screening at 7:50 am. Staff scheduled for work at 8:15am will begin screening at 8:05 am.

Daily Health Screening Questionnaire Upon arrival and before approaching the screening stations, employees will be required to complete the online daily health screening questionnaire. Questionnaires will be available to employees that are not able to access the online survey. Newmeadow will use Google Forms Survey for the online daily health screening questionnaire. Responses will be monitored in real time. The link to the online questionnaire will be provided via school messenger and available on our website.

If yes, please check all that apply otherwise check no symptoms. Have you or anyone in your household traveled outside of New York in the past 14 days?
Response to the Questionnaire If an employee answers YES to any of the questions, AND/OR has any COVID- 19 symptoms, they are to REMAIN in their vehicle. This applies to all employees regardless of how the questionnaire was completed. The COVID Coordinator or School Nurse will come to their vehicle to speak with them and direct them as appropriate. If an employee answers NO to all of the questions, and has NO COVID-19 symptoms, the employee should proceed to the screening stations. Employees completing the paper questionnaire should bring the form to the screening station. Signs will be posted and social distancing will be maintained during the screening process.
Screening Stations There will be three (3) screening station Related service entrance Bus door entrance Front main entrance Staff stationed in the administrative wing will proceed to the front main entrance for screening There will be one line at the front entrance. Social distancing markers and signs will be visible to remind staff to practice social distancing while waiting in line to be screened. Face mask must be worn All other staff will proceed to the side entrance for screening There will be one line at the side entrances for screenings. Social distancing markers and signs will be placed outside to remind staff to practice social distancing while waiting in line. Face mask must be worn. Staff will be called to the next available screening station.
Temperature Screening Employees will be screened by the school nurse or designated screeners. A touchless forehead/ temporal artery thermometer will be used for temperature readings If an employee has a reading of 100.0 Fahrenheit or higher, they will be sent home and asked to consult with their healthcare provider for assessment. Employees will be expected to follow the attendance and reporting absence policy and/or applicable leave policies. A doctor’s note may be required upon return to work. If an employee has a reading of less than 100 .0 Fahrenheit, they will be considered cleared provided they have met all other screening requirements and authorized to enter building.
Building Entrance Staff will enter the building based on their workstation location. Staff stationed in the administrative wing will enter through the main entrance. Staff stationed in the west wing and main hallway will enter through the bus entrance. Staff stationed in the related service wing will enter through the related service entrance. Staff will report directly to assigned workstation and immediately wash hands with soap and water. Face Mask must be worn during program hours and anytime social distancing cannot be maintained after students have been dismissed.
Dismissal Time Staff will exit the building based on their workstation location at the end of their work day. Staff stationed in the administrative wing will exit through the main entrance. Staff stationed in the west wing and main hallway will exit through the bus entrance. Staff stationed in the related service wing will exit through the related service entrance. Staff will be required to wear a face mask when exit the building. Staff will be encouraged to wash and/or sanitize hands upon exiting the building.

Screening Station No more than 10 minutes prior to start time, employees will proceed to the screening station with their completed daily health screening questionnaire. Newmeadow’s screening station will be located at the side entrance nearest the Newmeadow administrative office. Signs will be posted and social distancing markers will be visible to ensure social distancing is maintained during the screening process. Staff will be screened by the Site Coordinator or designated screener. The screener will review the questionnaire. A touchless forehead/ temporal artery thermometer will be used for temperature readings.
Daily Health Screening Questionnaire If an employee answers YES to any of the questions, AND/OR has any COVID- 19 symptoms, AND/OR has a temperature reading of 100.0 Fahrenheit or higher, they will be denied access, sent home and asked to consult with their health care provider for assessment. Staff will be expected to follow the attendance and reporting absence policy and/or applicable leave policies. A doctor’s note may be required upon return to work. If an employee answers NO to all of the questions, AND has NO COVID-19 symptoms, AND has a temperature reading of less than 100.0 Fahrenheit, they will be considered cleared and authorized to enter building. Upon entering the building staff will be reminded to wear face mask during program hours and anytime social distancing cannot be maintained once students have been dismissed. Hand sanitizer will be available when entering the building. Employees will be directed to report directly to assigned workstation and immediately wash hands with soap and water.
Entrance into the building Employees will be required to enter through the side entrance nearest the Newmeadow Administrative Office. Newmeadow employees WILL NOT be permitted to enter through any other building entrance.
Dismissal Time Staff will exit through the same door they entered during morning arrival. Mask must be worn. Staff will be encouraged to wash and/or sanitize hands upon exiting the building.
