Открытие Фарабиевских чтений началось с церемонии возложения цветов ректором университета и иностранными гостями памятнику аль - Фараби. Параллельно проходила регистрация участников форума в фойе научной библиотеки, где были организованы мини - экскурсии по библиотеке аль - Фараби, посещение музея аль - Фараби, тематическая книжная выставка.
На Форуме за выдающиеся заслуги в научной, образовательной, общественной и международной деятельности наградили «Медалью аль - Фараби » Абсаттар Дербисали , профессора университета Огайо Джеймса Патрика
