Daniel 11:32 “but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.”
BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE… 1: He will always be there
Psalm 90:2 ESV Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. [Also Pslam 102:26-27; Isaiah 48:12]
BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE… 2: His Character & Ways Remain the Same
Exodus 34:5-7 5 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands,[a] forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE… 3: He Keeps His Word
Isaiah 40:6-8 6 A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. [Also Psalm 119:89, 151-152]
BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE… 4: His Plans Stand Firm
Numbers 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? [1 Samuel 15:29; Psalm 33:11]
BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE… 5: We Can Trust in Jesus
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 7:24-25 24 but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. 25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
