Drawing out prior knowledge } 2 lessons of planned activities to check a number of skills } Timeline } Researching & Comprehension } Discussion & Listening to others } Evaluating significance- making a judgment } Finished product- a written evaluation of 2 key events that shaped Australia’s identity } From this I was able to assess students’ skills, focusing on critical thinking skills, namely evaluation } Writing } Arguing } Using historical evidence } Evaluation The biggest take away from this was that students really lacked confidence around making a judgment
