Attendance • After 1 st unexcused absence- Homeroom Teacher will issue verbal warning to Student (enter in IC) • After 2 nd unexcused absence- All core teachers will issue verbal warning to student (entered in IC) • After 3 rd unexcused absence- 1 st attendance letter will be mailed to parents . Counselor will do a referral to Social Worker • After 4 th unexcused absence- 2 nd attendance letter will be mailed to parents. Social Worker and Records Clerk will follow-up and a Petition for Truancy may be filed. 17

  18. Class ss Change Request st Proce cess ss ● During the first three weeks of school, class sizes will be balanced. Schedule adjustment will be made for students who may have been misplaced based on entry assessments. Connections changes can be considered at that time ● Otherwise, classes are set unless there is an emergency situation. ● Class changes are communicated by Assistant Principals if they occur ● Assistant Principals are the contact if a change is requested by a parent 18
