  2. Education Code Requirements Every two years the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program issues a formal report as required by California education code 52302.3 which states: A.) Every career technical course or program offered by a school district or districts or county superintendent or superintendents sponsoring a regional occupational center or program shall be reviewed every two years by the appropriate governing body to assure that each course or program does all of the following. • Meets a documented labor market demand. • Does not represent unnecessary duplication of other job skills training programs in the area. • Is of demonstrated effectiveness as measured by the employment and completion success of its pupils. B.) Any course or program that does not meet the requirements of subdivision (A.) and the standards promulgated by the governing body shall be terminated within one year.

  3. Perkins Enrollments and Completers ENROLLMENT: A student who has completed 20 hours of training. COMPLETER: Per CRY-ROP Governing Board Policies, and enrolled student shall be considered “completed” if he or she has a passing grade at time of exit and has achieved a level of competency in one or more skills that would enable him or her to be placed in entry-level or higher employment in the trained- for occupation, apply transferable skills in a non-related occupation, or continue in advanced education.

Placement Concerns & Watch Refer to data sheet CRY-ROP Administrative Regulation 6190.1(b) states: The acceptable placement rate for all ROP career preparation training programs shall be 50%, with the following exceptions: • Emerging or Technologically-advanced programs shall place 25% of the completer rate. • Programs in which significant changes have occurred in the labor market, the equipment or training facility, curriculum, teacher or training techniques shall place 25% of the completer rate. No Concerns

  17. COE Requirements Every year the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program submits a formal report as required by the Council on Occupational Education which confirms that: • Occupational education programs offered by the institution are congruent with the mission of the institution and with the occupational needs of the people served by the institution. • All programs are qualitatively constant and are approved and administered under establish institutional policies. • The institution meets the required benchmarks for completion, and takes any actions required by the Commission due to the program completion rates failing to meet required benchmarks. • Placement and follow-up information made available at least on an annual basis. B

  18. COE Enrollments and Completers ENROLLMENT: The total number of students enrolled in the program on the first day of the reporting period that cannot be taken out of the count for predetermined reasons. COMPLETER: Those students who have demonstrated the competencies required for a program and have been awarded the appropriate certificates upon completion. Includes those students who left a program before graduation but have acquired sufficient competencies for employment in the field of instruction or related field as evidenced by such employment.
