Program Needs School administrators estimate 33% of stude udent nts require assistance acquiring school supplies. That puts the total number of middle school students in Berkshire County who need back-to-school materials at over 1, 1,000. Each Supply Package will include: Pens • • Pencils • Markers • Pink Eraser • Glue Stick Scissors • • Binder • Loose Leaf Filler Paper • Tissues • Hand Sanitizer Est. Price per Student: $23.37 Backpack • Campaign Cost- 200+ Students: $4,700.00 Campaign Cost- 350+ Students: $8,200.00 Campaign Cost- 500+ Students: $11,700.00
Distribution Process • Student need will be determined by school based on free/reduced lunch status. • Supply Packages will be purchased by New England Newspapers, Inc. and assembled by participating community organizations including Man-Up Movement of Pittsfield and Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations. Supply Packages will be distributed to students grades 6-8 at the following • schools by school administrators: Reid Middle School, Pittsfield • • Herberg Middle School, Pittsfield • Nessacus Regional Middle School, Dalton • Monument Valley Regional Middle School, Great Barrington • Lee Middle and High School • Lenox Memorial Middle and High School • Mt.
