Upstate Eight SPC Difference Average Travel Time 37 34 -3 Trips of +50 Minutes 1 1 0 Trips of +40 Minutes 4 4 0 Trips of - 35 Minutes 4 7 +3 Trips of - 25 Minutes 1 4 +3 Summary : • The average travel time for trips in the SPC would actually be lower than what we are currently experiencing in the Upstate 8. • Each conference presents 1 potentially long trip of over 50 minutes, and 3 additional lengthy trips of 40 minutes or more. • Travel within the SPC, however, has the added benefit of more schools that are within 35 minutes. While the • Upstate 8 offers 4 schools within a 35 minute drive, the SPC has 7. Additionally, 4 of these 7 schools are regionally close (under 25 minutes.) • The Upstate 8 as currently constitutes has only one school (East Aurora) that can be reached within a 25 minute drive. A final consideration is traffic conditions. Upstate Eight Schools tend to be in locations that are less accessible and congested than those in the SPC.
