• Summer – Transcripts, AP, Dual Credit, Summer School, Logins • First Week of Classes – Advising Check-In August 27 th through August 31 st • Fall – Advising events to prepare for Spring registration – Registration for Spring Semester
• 120 credits – Full-time status equals 12-18 credits • Averages to about 15 credits per semester (not including summer) • One credit hour equals one hour spent in the classroom • 2.0 GPA – Major programs and/or scholarships may require a higher GPA www.ben.edu/degree-programs
General Education Requirements – 48 credits (left side of major checklist)
• Business Core Courses – Every business major will take these courses in the first two years – Become more familiar with business courses before beginning upper level courses • Department Cognates – Related to business but are not traditional business courses – Same requirements for every business major
• Typical first semester schedule: – BENB 101 – LCOM – WRIT 101 – MATH (based on math placement test results) – 1-2 General Education classes – 1-2 Major classes Many factors go into your Fall 2018 schedule. It is important to work with your Freshman Advisor to finalize your schedule based on availability and major requirements.
