Financial literacy at OSUES – historical perspective • Budgeting, estate planning and other topics taught for decades through former College of Home Economics and Extension Family and Community Health faculty with campus specialists for support (example: AARP Women and Money series in many counties) • Some topics taught in 4-H through record book trainings, themed camps and leadership retreats • 10 hour, 4 session Spanish and English interactive courses taught to inmates, community members, and persons qualifying for Individual Development Accounts • Columbia County Americorps volunteers teaching in schools and with 4-H families • Succession planning workshops for farm and fishing families
