RESPONSIB IBIL ILITIE IES OF THE SAFETY AMBASSADOR The primary role of the Ambassadors is to be observant of their surroundings while providing an additional safety presence in the area they are assigned to cover. Theses duties includes: • Providing a friendly face in the community, always personable and approachable. • Building relationships with area residents, small business owners and their employees. • Assisting pedestrians and motorists with directions. • Provide information about municipal services, events, and directions. • Observing and documenting safety concerns and reporting to appropriate agency. • Work with various municipal agencies to resolve quality of life concerns in the neighborhoods. • Helping residences, businesses and visitors when assistance is needed. They are also responsible for reporting issues such as, property damage, burned out or broken street lights, graffiti, malfunctioning traffic signals and unkept property issues.
RESPONSIB IBIL ILITIE IES OF THE CLEAN TEAM AMBASSADOR The primary role of the Clean Team Ambassadors is to provide supplemental sidewalk cleaning service to the properties within the DID Boundaries. These duties includes: • Providing a friendly face in the community, always personable and approachable. • Remove litter, leaves and debris from sidewalks with dust-pan and broom or other mechanized equipment. • Remove stickers, posters and graffiti from public space infrastructure (utility poles, trash receptacles, etc.) • Wiping down trash receptacles, bus shelter benches and windows. • Pulling weeds and mulching over 525 tree wells. • During winter months, clear curb cuts of snow and spread ice melt as needed. • Special cleaning projects as assigned. • Ensure that the downtown remains attractive and clean. They are also responsible for reporting issues that effect the everyday quality of life.
