Graduation Requirements Foundation + Endorsement (Career Pathway) (Anna ISD designated plan) 26 credits are required for graduation 4 credits in English 4 credits in Math 3 credits in Social Studies 4 credits in Science 2 credits of a Foreign Language (must be the same language) 1 credit of a Fine Art 1 credit of PE .5 credit of Health .5 credit of Professional Communications (Speech) 1 credit of Technology 5 elective credits Must follow the requirements for the endorsement (Career Pathway)
In addition to Course Requirements: Student must pass the following State Exams:
Credit Information: Credit : The unit of measure awarded for successful completion of a course. Credits are awarded by semester. This means that if a course is a full year, then half (.5) of a credit can be earned for the Fall semester. Then in the Spring semester the second half (.5) of a credit can be earned . 70% Grade needed to earn a Credit: Attendance is a must!! If a student misses too many days in a course, then regardless of grade earned, they will not be awarded credit.

Level el 3: AP and Dua ual Cre redit Cour urses: es: AP Cou ourses ses: : Adv dvan anced ed Placem ement ent courses allow students to experience the rigors of college-level studies while still having the support of the high school environment. Students are required to take a comprehensive exam in May. Qualifying AP exam scores, may allow students to earn credit from a large majority of colleges and universities. *It is the student’s responsibility to check with specific Universities to ensure credit acceptance . Physical Education PE : It is strongly suggested that students complete Foundations of Personal Fitness their Physical Education credit during their 9 th (1 credit required) grade year if scheduling permits. **Note: Fall semester of Cheer, Athletics: (Requires a current Physical) Course Name: (Step 4) and Band (includes Color Guard) Ath. Football will satisfy the PE credit Ath. Football Ath. Baseball requirement if taken for 2 years. PE or Fall Sport: ___________________ Ath. Boys Basketball / Ath. Girls Basketball Ath. Girls Volleyball Cheer, Color Guard, and Band require auditions and will be Band (including Color Guard) will Ath. Girls Softball added to replace PE if approved. also count as the required 1 Ath. Fine Art It is strongly suggested that students Art 1 Floral Design -Must take Fine Art (Step 6) complete their Fine Art credit during their 9 th Theater Production 1 Prin. of AFNR (1 Credit Required) Course Name: & 10 th grade year if scheduling permits. concurrently in 9 th grade. Technical Theater 1 Art 1 Choir ______________________ Band Do you plan to take this Fine Art Musical Theater every year of high school? ___________ (Yes or No) If you took Art 1 for High school credit in middle school, then you will need to specify which Art 2 class you would like to take: Drawing, Painting, or Ceramics or choose a different fine art.
Endorsements (Career Pathways) An endorsement is a specific career pathway of electives that are chosen by a student, based on their individual post- secondary goals. Students must earn at least 1 endorsement, but are encouraged to earn more Endorsement (Career Pathway) Categories: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Business & Industry Public Services Arts & Humanities Multidisciplinary
STEM Endorsement : Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math STEM is a great choice for students that will have already earned credit for Algebra I in 8 th grade because it allows them to take a math every year without the need to double up. Course sequence would be as follows: 8 th : Alg. I 9 th : Geometry 10 th : Algebra II 11 th : Advanced Math: Pre- Cal 12 th : Advanced Math: Calculus STEM (3 Options) Science, Technology, Engineering & Math ***Must complete Algebra II, Chemistry and Physics as part of the foundation plan. Algebra II ____ ____ Physics/ Prin. of Technology ____ ____ Chemistry ____ ____ Option 1: Complete 4 CTE credits with 2 CTE credits within the same career cluster under the STEM endorsement.
