ABOUT US – THE HOME SCHOOL ACADEMY  A dynamic and engaging educational program to complement your child’s homeschool experience  Students who attend HSA will attend one of our 3 unique programs one day per week  Networking opportunities and activities with other homeschool families  No-cost optional standardized testing that fulfills state home school assessment law  Highly qualified, licensed, dedicated, teachers who support home schooling

  8. MUSIC  In Music, students will get to explore and create a wide variety of styles of music, perform music on different instruments, and learn about different composers and regions. Students will also build their knowledge of how to read music.  Essential Questions that will be explored:  What is the difference between music and noise?  What makes a music performance great?  How do composers and performers reach their audiences?  How will I use music throughout the entirety of my life?  What are my musical strengths?

VISUAL ARTS  Students will spend the year exploring Elements and Principles of Design.  They will use a variety of mediums, tools, techniques, and processes to create works of art.  We will infuse art history in our project based lessons.  We will experiment with a variety of materials – paint, pastels, clay, markers.  We will learn art vocabulary (Line, Shape, Form, Value, Line, Space, Texture) and how to use them when we talk about art.

CHOICE APPLICATION PROCESS  STEP 1: Go www.asd20.org and complete the Choice Application online and submit signature page  Jan 9 – Feb 28, 2019  STEP 2: If admitted and the student is NOT OT cu curren ently enrolled in an HSA Program, you will complete the registration process online and then visit the D20 Central Registry Office @ 1110 Chapel Hills Drive  Central Registration is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Students cu curren ently enr enrolled ed in a HSA Program need to return the Enrollment Continuation Survey Monkey on or before Feb 15, 2019.
