City of Camdenton Drinking Water • No volatile organic compounds (VOC) present above detection levels • Wells meet safe drinking water standards • Multiple years of sampling has demonstrated TCE is not present • Annual monitoring will continue • Samples collected every year in April by city personnel • Analyzed by MoDNR laboratory
VOC Monitoring Schedules • Routine = Annual • No detections or detections that are “consistently and reliably” below the maximum contaminant level after at least two to four quarters of increased monitoring (groundwater vs. surface water) • Reduced = Annual or three years (SW vs. GW) • Inorganic contaminants (IOC) on reduced monitoring • Increased = Quarterly • Sampling for detected analytes to establish a running annual average. Compliance with the maximum contaminant level (MCL) is determined by the running annual average.
