Tourism is the largest contributor to foreign exchange earnings By 2019, tourism sector is forecasted to make the largest contribution to foreign exchange earnings with a total contribution of approximately 20 billion U.S. dollars. The impact of foreign exchange earnings can be immediately felt by the whole societies. 2. Best in the region By 2019, Indonesia’s tourism is targeted to be one of the best in the region even surpassing ASEAN.
