  4. Cap Fréhel Day Visit to a market en route to the coast to buy fruit etc for the walk Drive to the coast near Cap Fréhel and walk along the coastal footpath looking at the geology and features of the coastline

  6. Town trail Study of the Mediaeval walled town of Dinan The Tidal power station at the mouth of the River Rance St Malo

  7. Friday 6 th July • Leave centre after breakfast • Leave Calais at 16.15 hrs • arrive in Dover at 17.45 hrs • Arrive back at school at about 21.00 hrs

Items for the Rucksack • Passport • European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) • Packed lunch and breakfast • English money to buy a drink or a snack on the ferry • Book, games, cards to play on the ferry (i-pod etc at your own risk) • Camera • Travel tablets if needed, other medicines. • Notebook • Mobile phone – which will need to be turned off on arrival in France • Notebook and folder

Important Information Emergency Contact: If you need to get hold of us in case of an emergency then please phone the school first of all on: 01582 765477 They will then contact us on the school mobile number whist in France This is not a number to contact your children on. Information will be relayed by individual text, email or on the school website DO NOT ON ANY ACCOUNT CONTACT THE TOUR COMPANY, they have been given clear instructions NOT to give any of our travel plans out to people over the phone. They will ask you for your name and your child’s name and then they will contact the school or myself, and we will contact you at a convenient time

  12. Spending Money: You don’t need lots – the only chance you will have to spend money is at the Service stations on the journey, and out and about in the towns. We recommend no more than £40 in Euros and £20 in English money.

  15. Items which must not be brought or bought • No nuts • No energy drinks at all • No sweets and fizzy drinks – please check your child's bag • Alcohol • Tobacco • Drugs • Knives • Bangers / fireworks • Lighters • Laser pens • B-B guns or any other item identified by staff on the trip.

  16. Homework for you to do before we leave…………. Train you child to clear and stack a set of Train them to put a Duvet plates! cover on…….. Encourage them to make the best of what is on offer, and embrace difference and change…….they aren’t all going to get what they want!
