PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION & PROJECT INTRODUCTION The purpose of this ▪ presentation is to introduce the public to the project and gather feedback from the public. The purpose of the project is ▪ to provide a safe and reliable crossing of SR 1002 over Ramsey Run in White Township, Indiana County.
PROJECT LOCATION Project Location
PROPOSED PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS Replace the existing structure ▪ with a concrete box culvert. Minor approach roadway ▪ paving to tie into the new structure. Guiderail, signing and ▪ pavement marking updates. Minor Right-of-Way will be ▪ acquired at the structure location. Construction anticipated to ▪ begin and end in 2022. Project cost estimate: ▪ $1,000,000.

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT (NEPA) Public outreach begins with PennDOT Connects and extends into the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process: NEPA requires agencies to integrate ▪ environmental values into their decision-making processes by considering the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to those actions. NEPA includes public involvement ▪ activities and gathering feedback from the public.
