MISSOURI DISASTER RECOVERY JOBS PROGRAM • The Division of Workforce Development applied for this National Emergency Grant • Small grant that will allow 5 individuals an opportunity for employment to assist with debris cleanup on four levees in Lincoln County • Initial goal is to help these individuals find full time employment after the project is finished with Career Center staff assistance
WHEELS-TO-WORK • Grant through United Way $25,120 Peoples Bank Donation • $1,000 Anonymous Donation $2,000 • • Partnering with Salvation Army and Righteous Rides Provide low interest loans • to eligible borrowers 8 individuals in the region have received loans for cars and now have reliable transportation to get to work.

TRANSPORTATION PLANNING BRPC Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) Committee Purpose • A broad representation of transportation To identify transportation needs within interest within the region designed to the region provide input into transportation needs. To prioritize needs Nine representative from each county; To prioritize projects meets quarterly To make recommendations to BRPC Manufacturing Retail/commercial/residential Board regarding needs, priorities, and development projects Trucking/transportation To consider transportation needs and Agriculture/agri-business projects as they relate to community Economic development/chamber of and economic development, land use commerce Education and development, and meeting the Emergency Services needs of all transportation Special needs population stakeholders. TRANSPORTATION PLANNING • This plan identified and prioritized goals & strategies for the region • Plan was approved February 2013 • One outcome was the need for a mobility manager and BRPC is in the process of hiring an individual for that position
604(b) WATER QUALITY PLANNING • Inventory on-site wastewater systems within the region to identify areas of heavy concentration of systems that are contributing to water degradation and to develop plans to help abate the contamination • Inventory includes: Type of system Age of the system • This project will assess the availability of public wastewater systems in the region and to develop opportunities for investing in public infrastructure

ON-SITE WASTEWATER LOAN PROGRAM • $1 million funding from DNR • Create loan program for homeowners needing to finance septic system improvements • 7 loans totaling $77,800 have been made to date
NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM • 19 foreclosed homes purchased • 10 homes rehabbed and sold • 5 homes rented • 3 homes providing homeowner financing • 8 homes available for sale • $2,084,897 value of homes purchased
REVOLVING LOAN FUND - EDA • 23 loans made to support business expansion • $1,858,000 in loans • 248 jobs have been created/retained • 9 current loans-outstanding principal $687,200 • $312,800 available for lending
