What is Barcamp? • Barcamp is not a lecture, not a presentation, not a seminar. • Barcamp is a conversation. The whole idea is to get smart people that love technology together to start talking and see where the conversation goes. • We don’t even have a firm agenda!
How did Barcamp Bangkok started? • Barcamp Bangkok started back in 2006/2007 when local geeks grouped up to drink beer with @noneck. • From there, several geeks set out to organize the event, there have been 4 Barcamp Bangkoks so far: • Barcamp Bangkok 1 – January 26th, 2008 at Indus Restaurant • Barcamp Bangkok 2 – August 30th-31st, 2008 at Chulalongkorn University • Barcamp Bangkok 3 - May 23rd-24th, 2009 at Sripathum University • Barcamp Bangkok 4 – October 23rd-24th, 2010 at Sripathum University • Barcamp Bangkok 5 - August 23rd, 2014 at TK Park
