Why the I RWMP is I mportant � Opens the door for Prop 50 and 84 project funding � Proposition 50 - $200 M available for all regions � Proposition 84 - $52 M for the Central Coast Region � Identifies, integrates, and evaluates water projects and programs for implementation � Enhances local control over water management � Provides forum to build new alliances and discuss planning for future challenges (in-region and with adjacent regions) � “Tells Our Story” to state/federal agencies/legislators 4
