Association of textiles, garments, leather and footwear industry ❖ One of nineteen different associations included in Chamber of Commerce ❖ Includes producers in the area of textile, garments, leather and footwear ❖ Around two thousand companies are active in this industry ❖ All these companies are members of our association ❖ Employees: 48.000 are in the production of textile and garments and 14.000 are in the production of leather and footwear 03.09.2019.
Association of textiles, garments, leather and footwear industry T he Association includes five subgroups which produce different collections ❖ Subgroup for textile (main products: men’s and women’s collection’s, sportswear, underwear, jeans, knitted garments, handmade, home textiles) ❖ Subgroup of kids manufacturers (main products: children’s collections and baby equipment) ❖ Subgroup of socks manufacturers (main products: socks) ❖ Subgroup of producers of leather (main products: footwear, bags, leather accessories) ❖ Subgroup of workwear manufacturers (main products: protective and workwear, military and police equipment, modern uniforms) 03.09.2019.

In comparison with the rest of the Western Balkan countries it has the largest market in terms of population and territory ❖ Serbia is an increasing market and it is in a process of developing infrastructure related to its export- oriented economic growth ❖ One of the main advantages is political stability ❖ FTAs with EU, Russia, USA, CEFTA, EFTA, Turkey, Belarus and Kazakhstan, enabling efficient access to various markets ❖ Serbia is the only country beyond the Commonwealth of Independent States that has a Free Trade Agreement with the Russian Federation 03.09.2019.
Textile industry ❖ Long tradition in providing services to global industry leaders. The strong tradition of textile manufacturing and exports in Serbia contribute to a steady increase of the export volume in this sector. ❖ As a result, in 2017 total exports of textile industry exceeded 895,8 mil dollars – 15 % higher then in 2016! ❖ In 2018 total exports of textile industry exceeded 1 billion dollars! 03.09.2019.
