ArLERT School 2017 ARLE RESEARCH TRAINING SCHOOL READING & WRITING – intervention studies and process studies Tallinn University 13-14 June 2017 Reading & Writing – intervention studies and process studies is the theme of the 1st ARLE Research Training School proposed for the bi-annual conference of the International Association for Research in L1 Education (ARLE). The focus is on intervention projects and procedural studies in reading (also literature) and in writing. Addressed to PhD candidates and other junior researchers, it aims at providing an opportunity for reflection on different methods and research methodologies in these two areas and providing trainees effective participation in practical activities, with the chance of confronting their own research. Trainers and Structure The structure of ARLERT School 2017 is designed to provide, above all, workshops oriented by expert researchers that can contribute to knowledge building both on research methodologies and innovative recording methods, likely to stimulate researchers at the beginning of their study and contribute to further questioning of researchers at a later stage of their work. The ARLERT School first day will mainly be devoted to the understanding and questioning of research modes in Reading, Literature and Writing.
