Estate Works – The Breheny Contract Update
Lighting… There has been a delay with street lighting. Temporary street lighting has been provided until permanent lights are installed. Works due to commence in December.
Progress of contract… Survey ongoing, discovery of silt and CCTV Survey for rubble has delayed progress. Survey has highlighted additional works such as U&C Road Drainage cracked pipes which have required replacing. 90% of the CCTV is now complete. Close to completion. Main roads such as London and Kestrel are finished, final few Manholes such as Park View to complete. IWNL to then inspect and adopt. These are complete apart from moving Gully Grates some individual grates on Holdenby. Central These works will see the installation of raised landscaped areas on London Road. Reservation Majority of crossovers are complete – example of these can be seen London Raised Junctions Road. Breheny are yet to complete additional crossovers on London and & Crossovers Kestrel Road. These will be complete when housebuilder construction is reduced.
Progress of contract… Near completion – awaiting inspection Highway Repairs from NCC to understand if any more works need to take place. Near completion – this is complete up Final to date and awaiting street lighting to Footpath/Cycle be installed. Housebuilders to complete Way Surfacing their own internal roads/footpaths. Kestrel Road is the only area that is yet to be completed – this was due to a Final Road drainage issue which caused delays . The repair works are due to complete Surfacing before Christmas, with final surfacing in the New Year. We are awaiting sign off from NCC for Road Markings the road markings and signage – part of & Signage the section 38 agreement.

Overview… £1.24 million spent • Completion in early so far 2019 • 127 variations on Additional £500,000 spend on original contract top of original budget
Things we have been working on… Earth works are being completed on site by Buckingham; Area 1 – Under investigation. Area 2 – Completion in January. Area 3 - Work will be finished early December. For Area 4/5 – this will be complete by the end of November.
Things we have been working on… The application for landscape design was granted 31 st October for the County Wildlife Zone. The works will commence in early December and last 15 weeks.
Things we have been working on… • 40,000 shrubs, trees & hedges • 350 specimen trees 3m – 5m • 84 along Kestrel Road • 100,000 bulbs planted within the next year • 60,000m ² grass to be planted • Over £500,000 spend • 20,000m ² wildflower planted
Things we have been working on… Planning application submitted for Play Areas on the 4 th October. 5 of the LEAPS & NEAPS were given consent on the 31 st October and contracts are out for signature. Final LEAP & NEAP should receive planning before Christmas.
Things we have been working on… Application granted for Café & Offices Work to start in November to complete May 2019.
Things we have been working on… Application for new changing rooms has been approved.
Things we have been working on… • Agreed terms with Food store & Nursery Operator • Currently designing the district centre for application later this year
Things we have been working on… Completed the survey & management plan of the Roman Villa. This will include fencing the villa area to protect the monument. There will also be additional planting and natural footpaths created through a mowing regime.

On to the next four months… • Completion of the Breheny contract • Build starting on café & Planning Offices as well as the on Changing Facilities • Work up application and Zones 2 & 3 design for District Centre • Continue earth works • Implement Roman Villa plans
