On Tuesday( June 4, 2013) my Stress test is a running exercise grad student Wagner and I bused that consists of a minute and a down to the Bannatyne campus at half intervals and every level the the Health Science center to meet incline and speed increase and you Dr. Jhon McGavock and his team run until full body exhaustion or of researchers. till they stop the test. While we were there we participated in two test. The first was a stress test. On Wednesday (June 6, 2013) I participated in Nehas study. Her study was to see if lifting weights could bring your heart rate high enough to get the recommended amount of moderate to vigorous activity that the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines consider needed. (Three sets of ten repetitions for every exercise. Every set there is an increase of weight. With a minute and a half rests between each rep.)
The other activities consist of- Lunges Squats! Lat. pull downs Leg extensions Shoulder raises Leg curls Plank Wagner guiding me through the warm up ^ Chest Press!
On Thursday (June 6, 2013) I did Fagners study. This study was a walking study for people that have cardiovascular disease or the risk of having it , also if they have a chance of heart attacks. This study is to see if there is a certain amount of steps that they could take at a certain speed to reach there moderate to vigorous zone and the suggested time by the guidelines, with out having to run.
This was my experience at the U of M in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. I enjoyed it very much and I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you too everyone that made this happen.
