We learn about everything in our subjects and try to link our learning as much as possible • Maths We learn a whole range of methods and topics in maths and work on fluency, reasoning and problem solving. • English We all love English – creating our own ideas for writing. Editing is really important – there’s always room to improve!

  5. • RE RE is very important in our school. We learn how to make links between the lessons in the Bible and our daily lives – it helps each of us to become a better person. • Science Science is fun, hands on – it’s our science week this week and we met Sophie the T-Rex this morning! Did you know that a lemon can light a bulb?

It is pretty basic but it leads up to our Year 6 residential trip to France in the summer. • Music We do a lot in music and a real variety with instruments, lots of singing and lots and lots of performing. We study music from all over the world. We also have the Strings Scheme with the RGS and everyone in Year 4 gets to learn the violin or cello.

We also prepare for secondary school in Year 6. • PE We all love PE. We have PE twice each week, inside and outside. Some years do swimming at the Spectrum. We take part in lots of competitions and have lots of sports clubs. We are the reigning District Sports Champions!
