Greatly simplifies state funding for ADJUSTMENTS local educational agencies (LEAs) + = $ Grade Level Demographics (Low Income, English Learner PER STUDENT and/or Foster Youth) BASE AMOUNT This slide shows images that illustrate how the Local Control Funding Formula Works. LCFF provides the same amount of funding per student with two adjustments (1) grade level and (2) demographics.
Districts / counties with over 55% CONCENTRATION = 50% of Base Grant at-risk students receive additional GRANT per student concentration grant SUPPLEMENTAL Low Income, English Learners = 20% of Base Grant GRANT and/or Foster Youth for each at-risk student Target equal base grants per pupil BASE GRANT adjusted for four grade spans. Will Grades (Main Funding) be the same for all students at all K-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-12 school districts and charter schools
