Actions as a result of comments from AB5 CTCN to take a proactive approach to reach out to countries that have not yet nominated their NDE Advisory Board acknowledged the Secondment Programme as a promising approach to foster knowledge exchange and improve collaboration. Technical assistance request-response procedures in place. CTCN encouraged to have more requests directly based on priorities identified in TNAs. CTCN to promote Network membership and develop a revised procedure for membership that also addresses membership expiry. CTCN requested to put in place rules and procedures to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the CTCN. CTCN to present a revised stakeholder engagement plan that builds on the feedback provided by Advisory Board members. A proposal made for CTCN to address global collaboration on research and development and demonstration (RD&D) of climate technologies.

Actions as a result of comments from AB5 CTCN to take a proactive approach to reach out to countries that have not yet nominated their NDE. • Director sent letters to these countries encouraging them to nominate their NDE so that they may benefit from CTCN services • These developing countries were encouraged to nominate their NDEs at CTCN Regional Fora Advisory Board acknowledged the Secondment Programme as a promising approach to foster knowledge exchange and improve collaboration. • Secondment Programme was launched and the first secondee started in mid-August Technical assistance request-response procedures in place. • CTCN to present a revised document on request-response process including clarity on implementer selection and request criteria
Actions as a result of comments from AB5 CTCN encouraged to have more requests directly based on priorities identified in TNAs. • Efforts have been made to better illustrate the extent to which CTCN requests are based on TNAs • The technical assistance process and procedures document highlights to developing countries how TNAs could be the basis for a request for CTCN technical assistance. • At Regional Fora, linkages between CTCN technical assistance and TNAs were emphasized and discussed. CTCN to promote Network membership and develop a revised procedure for membership that also addresses membership expiry. • Additional Network outreach through regional offices/contacts • Revised Network membership procedures were developed, including proposed deferral of membership expiry until further notice
Actions as a result of comments from AB5 CTCN requested to put in place rules and procedures to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the CTCN. • A proposal on M&E rules and procedures was drafted for discussion CTCN to present a revised stakeholder engagement plan that builds on the feedback provided by Advisory Board members. • A revised draft stakeholder engagement plan was developed A proposal made for CTCN to address global collaboration on research and development and demonstration (RD&D) of climate technologies. • A specific agenda item has been included in Advisory Board meeting 6 to discuss CTCN’s degree of involvement in RD&D
