1. Our churches are to be characterized by sacrificial service 2. The core of church growth is spiritual, not technical 3. People who need Christ will be drawn to our Lord as the see us loving each other 4. We are an empowered people in order to serve Him 5. The prime role of leaders is to give ministry away to others 3
Culture affects everything! 4 elements of Church culture 1. Actions – rites, rituals, ceremonies 2. Values and beliefs 3. Rules – constitutions, by-laws, and doctrinal statements 4. Atmosphere 4
A Secret of building a culture of service in a local church is to put people first • Please identify specific actions that show this attitude here at Trinity • How can we ensure our response to putting people first? 5
• Get ready for company! • Observe your church from the outside in • Identify opportunities and upgrade 6
• Some members are embarrassed to invite their friends to our church • Facilities as a ministry • Policies, procedures and training 7
Start by developing- • Guest eyes • Guest ears • Guest heart 8

• Reach out and touch someone • Guesterize our church • Give our guests the best of everything we have • Follow up and create a pathway of belonging 10
• Ask our guests: • What are they seeking? • What do they need? • What do they want? • Match ministries & workers to meet the needs of guests • Guesterize: hosts, welcome table with host, ushers, introducers, pulpit greeting, refreshment table, and the 5 minute rule • Systems- follow up is a process, not a one time event 11
