Dementia Supporter Training Lecture “New Orange Plan” Basic plan for dementia by Japanese government One of the plan is “Dementia Supporter” Movement “The Dementia Supporter Training Lectures” by “ Caravan Mate ” that we conduct 90 minute awareness raising courses distribute orange wristbands These are the orange wristbands!
Caravan Mates pass on knowledge about dementia to Dementia Supporters Caravan mates are specially authorized to take training courses. The courses target doctors and nurses who know dementia well, carers and care managers, as well as WHAT IS families with nursing experience, etc. DEMENTIA Influence FRIENDLY SOCIETY? Dementia Supporter Training Lectures to students at our college Many students came to listen to the lecture. Talking time with a woman who experienced Nursing care for their Family living with dementia.

Dementia Supporter Training Lectures at a local elementary school. We try to make it easy to understand using pictures and other teaching aids Many students actively participated in the lecture.
Dementia Supporter Training Lectures for interested members of the local community Niigata Nippo (Daily News) sponsored citizen awareness activities Talking time with People who experienced Nursing Nursing home sponsored citizen care for their Family awareness activities living with dementia. Volunteer activities 1 Day Services and Group Homes Various activities in the community (at YOISA community partnership type day service). Traditional straw work Woodworking Guitar concert by PWD People of various ages living with dementia are actively helping out the community.
TONARIGUMI Volunteer activities 2 DAY HOME by AAJ Niigata Everyone enjoy having lunch with other people with dementia and their families. This is continuing over 23 years. Family carers cook together for lunch They enjoy playing cards games, Hanafuda, and so Exercise on.
Volunteer activities 3 RUN TOMMOROW A big event in which many people (people with dementia, their family members, supporters and any interested community members) participate. The volunteers (nursing students) crossing the goal line near our college.
